What categories would you like the reviewer to review? Design and Layout

I'll request for the other stuff later on once my forum is fully back on its feet after i'm done with the other stuff. But since i'm done with the designing part now i'd like to get that reviewed while i'm working on the other stuff to see if everything is up to code.

Display/Layout

1.Index and Portal Appearance(5/10):When i first clicked the link, it led me to the portal, so let's start the review on the portal, the top part of the portal looks a bit messy, 1st, the navigation bars namely the 'register' and 'log in' looks like just an additional design there or just like hanging objects, it's because they are only 2 there, nothing more, so my suggestion here is instead of having a widget for navigation bars, try to place the navigation bars onto their original place(which is on top portion where register and log in navigation bars are located) and not on a widget so guests and members can easily find it because it just looks weird for me having only 2 navigation bars located at the top portion so it's still your decision, this is just my suggestion, also, for my screen resolution on the portal, i would have to scroll to the right to see the remaining letters/widgets there, but overall, the organization of the portal is brilliant and everything is in place, i also liked the uniquity of widgets there such us the 'world clocks', 'counters' etc., i must say it's an informative portal, nice work on the portal, now let's head on to the index part. The same here for my screen resolution, i would have to scroll to the right to see the remaining widgets there, now on the index, i must say that all things/widgets/forums on the index looks mushed up it's because you had so many widgets on the index and both on the column 1 and column 2, my suggestion here is to remove the widgets on either column 1 or column 3, try having only 1 side widget on the index than having widgets on both sides which makes the top and bottom part of the index mushed up although the widgets there are also good, you should also reduce some to make the index a little organized, the formation of the forums on the index looks good however it looks a little bit inactive as I'd seen a set of forum with only 1 post, but overall nice work on the formation of forums on the index, now, as i scrolled down on the index, I'd seen that the very bottom part is very messy with rumbled letters and words as your background is not dark therefore the words on the bottom part are unreadable, well, as much as possible, have darker colors on the very bottom part so the words located there can be readable. The banner looks blending with the background. Definitely get those things fixed.

2.Categories and Forums(7/10):The number of forums and categories relevant to the number of your members logging in each period is just fine, there are many members logging in for the number of the forums, nice job also combining them or having the 'multi-forums in one' which makes the forum active with combined number of posts and topics, nice job. You also had a nice set of discussion forums for the subject of the forum. The positionings of categories and forums are good too and it's easy to find important forums on the index, the descriptions of every forums are just fine and easy to be determined, however, there is a set of forum having only 1 post which is called the 'support forum' but it's considerable because it's just a forum for complaints and assistance but nice work placing them at the bottom. I'd also seen a set of forum on the category named 'Grand Upgrade Store' which is only having 4 posts, so my suggestion here is to keep posting on that area to gain more traffic on the forum as guests likes forum with large amount of posts. Overall nice work on this criteria.

3.Forum Background, Theme and Color Scheme(6/10):The colors of the forum is just fine and didn't look messy however I'd seen too much dark colors on the forum which includes the 'gray' & 'black', although the colors are nice for the subject of the forum but you can also try having medium colors, red or dark red is also good for a naruto forum. The background of the forum looks good however it blends with the banner, also, it looks odd because majority of the color on the background is gray but you had another color which is red/pink(color of sakura), my suggestion here is to stick on one color on your background than having different colors with a dark forum and it will look good.

Graphics and Design

  1. Layout (Score: 9/10):
First of all, the background is definitely the most brilliant piece of artwork I see on your forum. But, there's only one problem with it- my computer screen isn't big enough to support the entire ackground image. All I can see is the Naruto character, the word 'VS', and part of the opponent's hair at the right. Anyway, it's still a great background, but I just think that you should somehow make the width of the background a little bit smaller.
I like how you have a bit of a dark-colored background for your categories and discussion forums background. Great work on the layout, bud. Nevertheless, I still think you should edit the background image.
  2. Banner (Score: 7/10):
The banner is really good, but I started to change my mind when I saw the woman in at the right of the banner. The outline of the woman character is pixelated. Definitely fix that right away; it just makes your banner a bit unappealing. Overall, great work on the banner itself... well, must I say great work to zaneyx. ^.^
  3. Navigation Bar (Score: 8/10):
It's a very common navigation bar that I've seen on many users' forums, so it isn't that original, but it still look great and fits the forum. Furthermore, there's one thing that I quite don't get- why is the navigation bar set as a widget? Anyway, it's pretty original, but it took a while to actually find the navigation bar. I had to use the /forum.htm text at the end of your site's link to actually get to the forum, and until then I finally realized where the navigation bar was.
  4. Icons (Score: 5/10):
The forum icons are great, but they seem a little wrong in my opinion. They look more like images to me, not like icons. The only reason I say this is because icons should be transparent symbols or other such things, not pictures. Try making the background of the icons transparent so that they would look more professional. GHood job with them overall.

/forum-reviews-f60/analysis-rules-how-to-submit-a-review-request-t42504.htm

It's because Rok is using other basis, the real name for your request is Display/Lay out not Design/Lay out, and in that review, you only requested display/layout right? but it includes graphics, i just follow what's on the rules, if i will include the banner, navigation bars and other graphics on the forum, then that will not be display layout but a graphics and display lay out review.

The display layout describes the whole forum, appearance and arrangement. I'll still accept your comment here or if you like a new review from Rok
