Free domain

Hey guys!

I think that Forumotion should have a free fomain thing for 1 hour so people who really want one but don't have the money, have a 5/10 chance of getting one. Only 50-100 active forums will be accepted to get one.
What do you think?

hey that happened to me, i suddenly got the chance to get a free domain name, i went to store and just got a domain name, no payment needed! iw ondered why that happened, but it seems to be perminant lol, has been on 365 days left for 5 days now

My forum can get the free domain but there should be a way without filling your real name, address, phone number, people don't like giving information online.

Forumotion doesn't give out any information to anyone without notifying you about it, Wink

But, if you want a domain name for your forum, you must give out this kind of information, so that the registrar can contact you,

This is normal with any website that you can purchase domain names from, Very good

CharleX, the free service is off for now.

zachoftheglen2, your forum must be really active in a short period of time. Thats all you need. ie. 500 - 1000 posts in the first month or so.

But to get it, you have to say your address phone number ECT. I think there should be a way without saying that.

Have you seen those Activity Points in your forum's administration panel? If you have a certain amount of those activity points, then you are allowed a free domain. If maintain those activity points and contribute in your forum's activity, then you can keep receiving domain names every year for free.

Also, Linky, derrick1123, MiniRadi, and dotDavid are running a free domain service site, and you can find it on ForuMansion, btw.

I saw that Rok.
I think there should be a way that you can get one WITHOUT saying personal information, on Mini's, Derrick's and dotDavid's you have to say your real name.

So how to get this free domain? We have already 154 registered members and it is increased every day. And we have 3375 posts and more to coming everyday (Oh thats why our forum lags so much...too low bandwidth & too active members) Smile

And secondly we are atm biggest WarRock forum in Finland.
It would be great to get free domain...but i dont mind if we aint gonna get free domain...we will pay for our dear domain.
