Area's you wish the reviewer to review: I'd be pleased if the reviewer could tackle all 5 areas.
Although that might seem a bit much, I've never asked the forum to be reviewed before so it'd be neat to see what we get at first. And then as improvements occur in each area we might specify, or not. No ideas. I just recently have been revamping lots of important areas in the forum and am curious what professional reviewers might see in it. If anything.

russelcrew™ don't use the report feature for tagging a request. Its not needed unless there is a proablem. Color & Bold is for staff use only.
3 Jophy, on 17/01/2010 at 02h16
russelcrew, are you still gonna do this?
4 KQ, on 17/01/2010 at 02h49
Anyone who wants to can! It can be a free for all. ^_^

Hey, this has taken like, a week now. When do I get the review?

Not trying to be a nag, I'm just excited. Very good
8 Rok, on 21/01/2010 at 00h01
It's been three days. And sorry, I'll go ahead and start on it now. Wink
9 KQ, on 21/01/2010 at 00h45
3 days for you! But that other guy said he'd do it when I posted it a week ago. I wasn't really sure which one of you was doing it, so I went with week. Razz Sorry for rushing ya.

Congratulations! Your free forum review has been completed. The forum review will hold many tips, suggestions, comments, and feedback that's convenient and voluntary for your forum. Here is your forum review:

Generalities

  1. First Impressions (Score: 17/20):
First of all, I would like to say that your forum has some great activity, but the forum itself isnt't necessarily 'perfect' altogether. I like the purple-black color scheme and the forum icons, and the main thing that I really like about your forum is that the first thing you see when you glance at the discussion forums, you see large numbers in almost all of the forums (by numbers, I mean the posts that are inside the discussion forums.) Activity is the major key of having a successful and professional forum. However, there are a few things that don't really work out for your forum, and you will see them later in the review.
  2. Categories & Forums (Score: 8/10):
As I stated before, the activity in your discussion forums is beastifying! Well, it's not beastifying... but it's pretty nice, haha. The categories and discussion forums, in general, are very well organized and arranged. However, the two discussion forums that are all by their lonesome (which are 'Hot Springs' and 'Competition of Villages') should be attached to some other sections so that you won't have a mess of forums lying around by themselves. For example you could move 'Competition of Villages' to the Shinobi Information category and 'Hot Springs' to the Atami Bar And Inn category. Overall, the categories and discussion forums are distributed decently, and I see no other problems with this criteria.

    Banner
The banner is alright, but to be honest, I'm not really a big fan of it. It seems pixelated a bit, and the text very easily blends into the dark background where you can't really see it that great. You don't have to change the banner itself, but I do think that the text could be fixed.
    Navigation Bar
The navigation bar is nothing more than just plain text (which appears to be the 'Segoe Print' font.) There's nothing much to state nor any opinions to be voiced about this criteria, so I guess I can't argue.
  2. Forum Layout & Color Scheme (Score: 6/10):
I'm not a big fan of solid purple, but I do like your purple-on-black color scheme that you have going on there. It seems to fit well for a ninja forum, haha. The only thing that I don't like about the layout is the category headers. I mean, I don't really see any potential professionalism in having just a solid, plain black category header. My recommendation would be that you switch to phpBB3 and use a better image that isn't so dull. Also, the white table lines in the category and forum area isn't that great neither; switching to phpBB3 can fix that. The background is pretty boss - I like it it.
  3. Images & Icons (Score: 9/10):
The forum icons are very nice, and they fit the concept of the forum. Even though I don't see why a mountain would symbolize a locked topic, but whatever looks good on the forum is what matters. The Who Is Online? image is freaking awesome dude! I'm exagerating, but the image itself is actually ind of nice yet random for a Who Is Online? image. The only icon image-image thingy that I have a problem with is the one up there in the homepage message that says 'If you're new CLICK HERE'. It's one of the images that I saw in your image rotation thing, and I personally believe that you should use a better image for that where you can actally read what the text states.

You have approximately 1,500,000 posts and 3,600 members on your forum. If you were to divide each and every one of those posts into each member individually, the ratio would be about 415 posts per member. Honestly, wow - there's nothing more that I could say instead of 'wow' because review-wise, that's a lot of posts per member. But even though that most likely several users had made a majority of the total posts, 415 is still a greatly large number.

What could be done to improve your forum:
One thing that I would suggest is that you move those two discussion forums that I mentioned to some other categories that are suitable for them. The second thing that I would like to suggest is that you fix up the text in the banner of your forum to where the users of the forum can clearly view what the banner says.
The best thing I like about your forum:
The best thing that I really like about your forum is the large activity that you have on your forum. After I refresh the page, there's suddenly nearly over hundreds of new posts made as well as a new member. That's very impressive; great work!
