Minimum Posts To Start New Topic

Hi,

I was thinking that we could have a system like the PM system for members. Say when a member signs up, they can't create a new topic until they have posted a certain number of posts(decided by the Admin). It would stop people spamming forums and bots doing the same. I've seen it on phpbb forums and it works.

It's a good idea, but as of yet i have never had any spam on my forum. thumright

It becomes a problem when you have rivals who try to make your forum look bad, that's my reason.

You can always make a group and have auto group put on it put like 50 post before they can post in that section with permissions.

I know what you mean. I would then enforce IP bans. Wink

I would recommend changing the poll options to "Yes" or "No".

Definitely.

This would be a good feature, and would avoid spam boys making default spam topics, as many are programmed to make topics, rather than posts. Its a feature on PHPBB3.0.6 and should be modded on the ForuMotion software.
