Colour on my forum

Hi guys.
Ok I've been trying to design a logo for my forum and I've finally managed to get something close to my original idea. Now the only problem is the background where the logo is sat on has a gradient colour on it. Is there any way of getting rid of the gradient and having it as a solid colour ?
I've been at this nearly 4 hours now and I'm at the end of the road for idea's. Please can someone help me out as it's driving me around the bend.
Below is a picture of the forum and the area is highlighted where the colour is I want changing. Also whilst I think on, how do I set the picture to display in the centre of the page ? Is this done by editing the size of the picture to a set size or is there an option somewhere to change ?

Admin Panel > Display > Under Pictures and Colors > Colors
add/edit this:
u can just remove the bground image line all together then change the backround color to what u want

OMG THANK YOU !!!! You are an total star !! You've no idea how long it's taken me to get rid of that !! Only thing now is how do I centre the picture ?
