Is anyone going to review my site?

Sorry for being impatient but the advise on how to make the forum better is urgently needed, and it's also my first time wanting a review.

We can't do request like that it takes time. We know what forums need reviewing so please give us the time to get to them. We do request that are older to the newest as they were requested before you.

I'll review this but I am not going to be able to do it till Saturday. Is that fine?

Generalities

1. First Impressions (Score: 12/20):
   Before I came into the forum, the first thing that popped out of my mind about the forum name is a fashion or designing forum since I heard appearances, but when i entered there, I don't really know what's the forum is all about since I'd seen alot of things there, now, the first thing I'd saw there are the images of people, I'd seen there's lots of them everywhere on the forum which can be found on the banner, homepage message, icons, graphics etc.., It seems all on those items have same faces found on the banner and can also be found on the other items such as the icons... so in short, I'd seen lots of same faces on the forum, I'd say that it doesn't really look like a good forum since there are lots of pictures of people found there, it didn't attracted me because of those images, maybe reducing them would be better, trust me Now, it seems that the forum is a bit girlish of the colors in it such as pink, violet found there, it seems that it's really hard to move around the forum since the main navigation bars such as the home, log in, etc. are harder to find which has really negative effects. Now, as I scrolled to the middle index, I'd still saw a lot of faces there on the icons which definitely looks a bit crappy, I'll be honest that I didn't liked the look of the index because of those images, the index looks also very long, didn't had a good impression, so try reducing some contents/images on the index and it will looks better.
   
   
2. Categories & Forums (Score: 4/10):
   Well, as I'd mentioned above, I don't really know what's the forum all about so I think I can't provide good details about the forums and categories on the index since I don't know the main theme of the forum, but I think this is a forum about a t.v show, so I'll base it from there later, I think you had nice set of forums and categories on the index since you covered it really well with forums with name 'keeping up appearances' on every forum name, so I think that's nice, now, I think you had lots of forums on the index for 81 members only, considering it's not really a high populated forums, you should try merging forums to attract more guests and shorten the index, some forums that can be combined are 'notice board' & 'administrator and moderator news' forum, since they are just both announcement forums, why not combine them? doesn't really matter to the importance of announcements, it's more important of the professionality, now if you do that, you should also try to have a professional organization where 'news' forums are always at the top than other forums like introduction, it looks more professional, now, the off topic forums such as 'Film chat', 'Classic Telly', 'Music Chat', 'Television', 'Links', 'Sports' & 'everything else' forums can all be combined in 1 forum, I'd say it's better to have the topics in this forums or the forums combined in 1 forum and can be named as 'General discussion', it will looks better coz it will shorten the index and compile the total posts and of those forums and will look active and thus attracting more guests, So i think it's better with this one, now to the appearances of the categories & forums, it seems that some of them looks a bit unprofessional seeing some categories with only 1 forum with it, why create a category if there will be only 1 forum in it? So i think those forums alone in a category would look better if you'll connect them to some other categories, it will be better, but his could be exempted for the 'expired topics' forum. So try fixing those things...

Forum Style

1. Major Graphics (Score: 4/10):
   Banner:
   The banner didn't load the whole portion of it even I completed the first impression and categories & forums criteria and definitely it was the slowest thin that loaded on the forum, so seeing it incompletely, I think the banner doesn't really look that good, I think it's not good to have the faces of people there since you have lots other on the index, I think you should make the banner a logo/mascot or design for the forum, have some symbols there that will represent the forum, looks really unprofessional, so I think remaking it would be better.(2/5)
   
   Navigation Bar:
   You had lots of navigation bars on the index(the main ones), from my first impression, it's hard to navigate on the forum since the main navigation bars are found on the last portion of the navigation bars on the index, it's better to place this nav. bars such as 'home', 'log in/log out' in the first portions since they are used for navigation and it will make members easier to navigate on the forum, and further more, I think those navigation bars are defualt, so have some created ones, it's better. 2. Forum Layout & Color Scheme (Score: 6/10):
   As I'd mentioned form the first impressions, The forum looks really 'girlish' since the colors are also girl colors, the colors on the forum are 'violet' and 'pink', doesn't really look like having a point on the main subject of the forum, if you think the forum is not only for girls, then you might want to have colors for boys also to attract most of the guests, try that one.. the same with the background, try to have some colors for boys there if you think this forum is not only for girls, so fix that out.
   
   
3. Images & Icons (Score: 3/10):
   As I'd mentioned above over and over again, Well to be honest, I'm raelly irritated with repeating faces.. so this could happen to some suers and guests which could drive them away on the forum, the forum has lots of images of people on the index which really doesn't look good, they can be found anywhere on the index which looks crappy, try to reduce the people images there and try to replace it with more graphics to the forum a bit well designed, one image on the index that I like to correct is the image on the 'welcome message' on the top portion of the index, it looks really big, you might wanna make it smaller, same with 'who is online?' icon, try making it smaller! it's big for that area, the forum icons(new post, no new post & forum is locked) looks bad, first thing, this icon area should be made for graphics not with the faces of the people, it looks really unprofessional, I recommend you to have other icons since the forum has lots of people images on the index.

Usergroups

1. Population of Groups (Score: 10/10):
   I think there are about 6 staff member sin total(I included the honorary presidents group), 2 administrators, 3 moderators and 1 honorary presidents, now I think that's a nice amount of admins, moderators, and other staff, since the forum isn't really that active, it's nice to retain this amount for now.
   
   
2. Staff Groups / User Groups (Score: 10/10):
   There are about 5 groups in the forum which includes the administration group, moderation group, honorary president group, member of the week group, and VIP member group, I'd say that's a nice set and amount of groups, they're not too many for the population of groups for now, it's just perfect.

Forum Activity

1. Post/Member Ratio & Quantity (Score: 5/10):
   

   Our users have posted a total of 1447 messages
   We have 81 registered users

   I think the amount of posts for now is not bad for 81 members, but still considered low for 81 members, try get some more activity on the forum by posting more, get some activity back rolling on the forum!
   
   
2. Users Active (Score: 6/10):
   

   Members connected during last 24 hours : barbaradear, Britannia, BritcomFan93, georgie, Jenanydot, KUA, OnTheBusesCrazy

   
   This looks a bit better than the posting quantity, this is still considered nice even it's out of 81 members, it's normal for a forum to have inactive members, but you should atleast maintain these to keep the forum alive, send also weekly newsletters to get the inactive members back..

Thanks for the review. The forum is about the 90s British sitcom 'Keeping Up Appearances'. The forum is decorated pink because the main character acts all posh, and her house is decorated pink, i'll think i will change this. The images of the people don't really annoy me, but i think it will be best to remove some of them. I find the navigation bar easy to use, i have had no complaints about this from other members. The forum banner (for me) loads quickly and i think enhances the forum, it is based on ones which are used by other classic sitcom forums.

PS: The section 'Administrator and Moderator News' can't be merged with 'notice board' because the 1st one contains all the information which is for Administrator and Moderator only, not for the usual members to see.
