Profile defaults: notifying of replies & signature attachment

When members join their profile defaults are:

Always notify me of replies :
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

The default is set to yes. Please, please, can we have this set to no. Many members joining forums are not very forum literate & don't know how to change this. Consequently they post in a game & then get endless e-mails.

Always attach my signature. :

The default is no and it takes some members ages to work out why their signature does not show, can this be changed to yes?

I've learned to live with the fact that Forumotion forums do this, but it is very annoying. It's not a top concern of mine, but it should be fixed.

One of my pet hates. As LH Justin said, it's not one of my "top concerns", but it frustrates me to no end, and I would love for the defaults to be switched.

I mean how hard can it be? I doubt it would take them longer than 10 minutes for such a small task. ;P

If my forum got an email every time we got a reply we'd be getting hundreds of emails, so no thanks.

But I would like the signature to be automatic since there is only one or two sections of the site we don't like to have signatures in.

KQ you have totally misunderstood the suggestion, the idea is that members don't automatically get e-mails.
