Calender with re-occuring Events!

Hi, I was wondering if you could add a part in the calender bit for having an event happen every week or month. Instead of having to put it in again every week. Cause It clogs up your events Forum. Like Regular Event and a Day Note.

Maybe not having the calender attached to the forums, like you can add the events in the forum, but if you add it on the calender, it wont automatically make a topic in the forum.

Thnx for reading
Hayley

[EDIT]

As seen on GuildLaunch and GuildPortal

What I'm getting is that you're wanting a re-occurring event option...
AND
The ability to make an event without having to make a topic.

I have no idea why we don't already have this.
If it had a poll, I'd vote yes.

Yeah, wow you managed to say that lots better then me. Smile
I have added a poll now.

Maybe have an event made, and be able to click whether its every monday, or once a month.

Yeah.. I wish I wouldn't have to create a new topic for every new event (or for every new poll).

And repeating events - 100% !!

I totally agree with you! Especially with the auto-topic point. That really bugs me. You should be able to decide weather or not a topic should be made when adding the calendar event. Wink

It would be great to be able to create an event without making a topic. I wanted that option so bad that I set up a Google calendar, went to modules in the admin panel of my forum, created an HTML page, and embedded the Google calendar in there. Then I created a menu link to the new calendar page.

Although I dont really use the calendar much at the moment - I plan on setting weekly/monthlt tasks etc, so yes it would be helpful.

Agreed and voted yes. Most important to me is that we have calendar events that DON'T post in the forums, that makes no sense. Or at least we should have the option to turn off calendar events from posting topics in forums.

Agreed on both counts, reoccurring events are very important to us!

Yes. I hope they add this soon. It's going to cause me to not use the calendar at all. Which would be a shame.
