Graphic Design & Layout

Graphics (Score: 15/20):
Banner
Your banner and background dont match. An opinion I have is that there is no real need for the .gif banner. The blue star going across the banner really isnt necessary. I think that theres too much going on in your banner. There is a bunch of blue strokes, designs, and other shapes and its extremely hard to follow. It also doesnt help that the text is a white color and it fades near the bottom. Since most of the banner is light blue, its hard to read. There is also a blue border which I feel isnt needed because everything else on the banner is blue.
Navigation Bar
The log in button is a little too wide. Try cutting off some space at the right part. The Home button looks a little pixel-ated so I would try to fix that. IT uses a good font, but it could be better. Other than those details, it looks good. Its a darker blue than the banner and it fits well with the black background.
Forum Icons
I have no idea what they are, but they look cool. The only issue I have with them is that the colors you have set for them normally dont represent what you have them represent. In other words, pink normally doesnt mean locked. Go for a red/dark red/brown/black. Also, blue wouldnt be used for no new posts since its an attention grabber. Use a more dull color instead. The green is fine. You could try yellow with it since yellow stands out really well on black.

Other than your banner, everything else almost works together perfectly. I dont like the flowers/wheat in the background. Black backgrounds usually mean no nature or light colored things but yet you have that part and a light blue banner.

There are also quite a few widgets that you dont need.

The only other thing I would change if I was admin would be the toolbar. Its very common and really cant do anything that the nav bar cant do.
