A few of my members noticed that the word censoring didnt work in the chatbox, so i thought it would be a very good idea to censor the words in the chatbox as well as in posts.

Yes, would need this.
Just need it so that the "censored words" list is compatiable with the chatbox too.
Otherwise, I just have to kick/ban swearers and clear the box

Yea that i have to do the same, even though i don't want to. But thats why i think this would be a great idea

You can already do this to an extent, you know. Just go to the smilies section in the admin panel, and use a smilie to be used with the text trigger being a swear word (you'll have to go into it and take out the colons, though). The problem with this is that you can't censor a word that you already have in another smilie. An example being you can't censor mother---- because the F word is in it. I'm voting yes in that I think this should be fixed.

This is a feature that is needed, I can't count this times I've gotten on somebodies back because of inappropriate or foul language.
Censoring words in the Chatbox will lessen the the stress of some Mods/Admins.

I think you should be able to have a list of censored words in the chatbox.
Simple as that.
