My members would really like to have tournaments.
I think it would be a good idea to add a tournament to your forum.

Could you elaborate on this? I don't see where it involves any new developments on ForuMotion.

I really don't understand what you're talking about, please elaborate.

How could they add tournaments? What would they do on them? It still would seem good though.

Indeed RPG Forums and many others benefit nicely from tournaments
BUUUUT, Tournaments vary imensly between forums. You can't add a feature to remove the work that needs to be done to arrange one.
In a simple form, all you need for a tournament is:
> A thread
> Participating members
> Defined rules/guidelines
> An open P.M box
> [Optional] Some forums use a special "Tournament" account
=> I'll be voting No as this idea is already possible without the addition of a new mod

That'll be my rationale as well, Caihlem.
Some other things I've found crucial to tournaments are a polling system and the tournament holder's access to the edit button on the original post (and the second, if the tournament is recurring-- good for a hall of fame).

Why does everything have to be so cheap on forumotion like that?
My arcade is a whole bunch of topics, thats sad and lame.
Now, the tournaments are going to be that too?
I just want a simple tournament feature.

A simple tournament feature IS a thread and participating members
If you've got something else in mind and that's precise, then explain it because so far... you haven't

Its a button in a the navigation bar. You can click to view all of the current tournaments. You can click on a tournament, and join it.
The system will automatically pair you with someone.
You fight, and submit your scores. This is ALL automatic.

This is a forum provider

Jclink is a free forum provider, yet they have an arcade installed.
I don't see why forumotion forums can't have features too.
