More commands in chat box

Im thinking we could add more commands for the chat box.

Examples:
/notice - forces a popup with the words after it, either in the chatbox or a windows forced popup
/mute, /unmute - mutes someone but not kicking them or banning them from the chat box. (Also /mute all if you want to say something important)
/info - gets the user's information (command for admins only)
/disable, /enable - disables everyone's commands except admin's commands or disabling a certain user's commands (admins only)
/ghost - shows you're not in chatbox but you really are (like moding the chatbox with no one knowing)
/speak - makes the certain user say something (EX: /speak Joey hi person =D = Joey: hi person =D) (admins only)

These commands can be enabled and disabled via admin cp.

I'd love a few extra commands in the chatbox. I tend to get arguments on my forum's chatbox, so the mute option is growing on me. So far, I love the commands you came up with. Smile

The /speak option might be abusive, though. Perhaps, these "extra" commands can be enabled or disabled from the admin panel?

I think so too but I want that. =D And yes I'll add that they can be enabled and disabled in the admin cp.

I think there need to be a few extra. We should also be able to make more commands whenever we want.

If by "make more commands whenever we want" you mean be capable of adding more commands that are already available, then that would be great. Otherwise, how would you be able to make a custom command ? Wouldn't there be some messing around needed to get the function you want the command to do? Perhaps renaming available commands. /ban to /kill and so on. That would be an interesting feature. Smile

I mean like create our own commands. For example, I could go to my ACP and type in the command

/staff

which only allows staff to enter the chatbox.

Some of these could be possible via javascript, jquery, etc.

Oh, I see. However, making these custom commands possible would be impossible, wouldn't they? You'd have to script it somehow yourself and it could become a security hole, or maybe I'm thinking about something else.

I agree with you, they can be annoying but they're certainly not pointless; I've voted yes, I would like to see them commands implemented.

I voted yes but mainly for these 3 commands. The ghost would be very very useful.

The ghost command is great
