Facebook Forum

First Impressions - ( 17 / 20 )

When I first visited the link to your site, I was brought to the homepage. There was a very nice and simple design and even a background color changer. Great job with it. The forum index has a nice color scheme of blue and white, just like on Facebook. The only thinkg that I'm not fond with is the black font color. I recommend changing it to a dark blue so that it matches with the color scheme of the layout. The statistics of the forum are a definite eye-catcher. Also, the Birthdays list is insanely huge. It's kinda weird that so many members (out of 5,000+) would have a birthday within the next 5 days; unbelievable. Great work with those statistics!

Graphics & Layout - ( 16 / 20 )

The graphics on your forum are very professional. The banner looks great, and the navigation bar is definitely placed in a unique position; I've never actually seen a navigation bar at the top of a forum's index, so that's new and very original. I've stated before in the First Impressions criteria that the layout and color scheme is great. It matches with the theme of the official Facebook website nearly perfectly, and the color scheme itself is pretty. The forum icons look great, even though they're all not exactly the same size. However, I suggest changing the 'General Chat & Offtopic' forum icon to something different considering that it blends in with the white background of the forum. The Who Is Online image is great, but the extra 'transparent space' on the top and on the bottom is way to large, and it makes the height of the image overall look too big. Maybe you should crop the image so it wouldn't take up too much room down in that area of the forum index.

Categories & Forums - ( 12 / 20 )

All of the categories and forums are organized and set up very idealistically. However, there seems to be way too many discussion forums, especially in the 'Faceboook Chat' category. I recommend subforuming many of them so that the forum index wouldn't look incredibly large. Nothing more to say for this criteria.
