Mad About Gaming

First Impressions - ( 11 / 20 )

Ok, buy the way, before entering the forum, I guess you really had a nice forum name for the forum, it's too obvious that it's all about gaming, so it looks good that you have this specific name for a gaming forum, now, when I first came there, uhmm, I was really confused all the way, literally, I'm confused there's lots of navigation bars and there are lots of scrolling things I saw there and even on different directions, that doesn't look good for me from when I first came there, what I can suggest you about the excess of your navigation bars there is to put the extras on a widget rather than putting more navigation bars there(such as xbox, ps3 etc.), try to get that fixed to reduce confusion on the forum a bit, also, with the scrolling widgets on both sides of the index(not to mention the scrolling announcement), try adjusting their scroll to one direction only so it doesn't look like a manufacture factory with lots of scrolling objects, sort that up, furthermore, I noticed, you have lots of widgets on the index, try reducing them! Because the index looks packed up! and I would have o scroll to the right to see some remaining widgets there, or if you don't want to remove them, just create a portal and transfer some widgets there and retain some on the index if you want, this will reduce the size of the index a bit, try my suggestion, it'll look better, Just get those things sorted and it'll look ok

Graphics & Layout - ( 11 / 20 )

Starting with the graphics, to the major graphics, first, with the banner, it looks good and very fitting for a gaming forum like this, but I don't quite it see elegant for the forum, it can me improved I mean, the font could be improved, and I noticed that it looks dull, I mean, look at the index, it looks a bit colorful because of the images placed on each forums, maybe try placing some more colors to the banner too, it'll look better, now, the navigation bars, as I'd mentioned earlier, there are lots of them which is really confusing, as I suggested above, place the excess navigation bars on a widget and retain the important navigation bars, it'll look better, rather than that, I also noticed that it looks really simple, try having a new navigation bar that's well made.
Now, to the minor graphics of the forum, starting with the images on each forums, I must really say they look good there, it gives some color to the index which is nice, the forum icons you have(new post, no new post & forum is locked) are nice, well, that looks good enough, now to the 'Who is online?' icon, I say it's really big, it's almost half statistics board, I suggest you to make it smaller, it'll be better.
Let's now go the organization of the forum, I say that you had this nice set of forums on the index, it looks really complete and nice forum for discussing games/game consoles, although, I just noticed that you didn't had separators for forums(category) which you need, i suggest you separating the important forums(such as Rules, Announcements & Community forum) to the gaming forums of the index with a category, I guess that it'll look better.
Now to the color scheme, I definitely think that you had the right color scheme for the forum which is gaming, dark colors work well here, so nothing wrong here.

Forum Activity - ( 16 / 20 )

The overall activity of the forum is considered average, I must say that the forum is not that overflowing when it comes to activity but it looks nice to see plenty amount of posts and an average user activity throughout the forum.
Further more, I'll start with the posting activity of the forum, It's great! I saw most of the forums having gorgeous amount of posts which looks really nice! Although I saw atleast 2 forums with no posts, atleast try posting 1 post on each forum so it doesn't look like that the forum is outdated, other than that, I say that the posting activity is great, although the total amount of posts(4354 posts) can be improved.
Now the users activity, I saw several users logged in the past 24 hours, I guess its great, just need to improve more on posting activity to maintain the users activity.

Staff & Usergroups - ( 14 / 20 )

Starting with the groups, I must say they're too many, but I can consider this since this is a gaming forum, although, I don't see the point of having this groups: GFX Designers - I don't see the point of having GFX staff on a gaming forum, and the 'Trophy Mod' group, which looks weird too, I suggest hiding them first unless the forum is too big, thsi will save you more space, although i don't see anything wrong with the position and color of the groups.
Now with the amount of staff, I'm not allowed to view the groups, so I'll just base the review on the users i see in the legend, I saw 2 admins, not sure, but 2 admins is fine, I don't think you need to increase it. I didn't saw any mods being online in past 24 hours, but I can suggest you 2 mods to hire on the forum since the forum is not that really active.

Originality & Unique Quality - ( 18 / 20 )

I'd say that the name 'Mad About gaming' name is a unique name for gaming forums rather than having common names for gaming forum like 'Gaming chat', 'Gaming forum' etc. So that's nice.
