It'd be nice if we could add custom file extensions that are allowed to be posted in our forums.
A good example of this would be almost any PC game forum as game saves, car setups (for racing games) and other various game files that people usually share or might want to share have custom extensions that are not allowed.

I can see where you're coming from, but when you start talking about games you get into some pretty big files, and I doubt Forumotion has infinite space for this stuff.

The particular files I would need it for are 1-2 kb each (race setups) so it'd take a ton of them to add up to the 20 mb of free hosting space they allow for attachments already.
And to the other reply, I do have attachments enabled, it just doesn't allow me to post any files of an extension besides the ones listed, it'd be a pain to rename the file to something allowed and rename them each download.

Why don't you zip them then?

because they are usually posted one at a time, that'd be the same amount of pain as renaming them each time.
again going with the race setup example, I'd maybe start a topic with the car/track combo the setup is for, then I'd post my setup with a message or w/e, people can reply about the setup and post theirs or an edit of mine or whatever. For how much I know we would use it we could have about 5-8 setups being uploaded per day and about 20-50 downloads per day

I can't believe that the OpenOffice.org formats for word processor and spreadsheet files aren't included! I think we may be looking somewhere else for hosting.
