Imperative Follies

First Impressions - Average

From what I see, your forum has exactly the same images as the default theme does. You haven't changed the graphics (except for adding the forum name). The navigation bar and icons are the same. I think that the favicon is too small and I have no idea what it is. I do like the fact that the favicon is the same color as everything else, but it's hard to see and know what it is. Your forum is very consistent as you keep the same black/gray/goldenrod colors. I think that you should remove the "Who is the moderator of this forum."

I think you should remove the forum description. (The site for humorous, intelligent people like yourselves.) The white font just doesn't work with your forum and there is a bit of space that seems unneeded. The name of the categories are too close to the edge of the border. You could try using some CSS or HTML to move the category name over. It looks weird that the shade of black changes from the category and forum name to the Topics/Posts/Last Post. I don't think it looks that great, so I would make the whole thing the same color.

Graphics & Layout - Poor

The images that you have do work with your forum colors and layout, but I would like to see you put some more effort into making your forum. Your forum isn't unique at all and it's not very original. I would customize it a lot more than it currently is...(or isn't). As I mentioned before,t he favicon is odd. I think that the favicon is too small and I have no idea what it is. I do like the fact that the favicon is the same color as everything else, but it's hard to see and know what it is. I would try to make the font on the navigation bars larger as it's small and it sort of matches the nav bar background since it's partially yellow.

The Who Is Online image is also way too small. I can't even tell what it is. The same thing I said for the favicon applies here.

So the main thing I think you should do is just put some interest in your forum and change things up a bit.

As a question pertaining to this review, how do you make people moderators of forums without their name showing up in the "who is the moderator of this forum, text under the forum name?
