Naruto Evolved/Revolution
First Impressions - Rating: Poor
- I'll start the review on the portal, when I first came there, I noticed that it looks blank on your portal, there are no widgets shown on the center/right part which makes it look blank and unprofessional, you only have this widgets on the right portion which doesn't supply the portal completely, if you're gonna construct a portal for your forum, make sure that there are widgets placed on all the parts of it, otherwise, just remove it since I don't see anything special there, ok, now for the index, the index looks just fine, everything seems to be organized well including the widgets, however, I just noticed you had this large space at the bottom of the forum which definitely looks unprofessional, I suggest you removing some of the widgets to reduce this kind of big space at the bottom, it'll look better.
Graphics & Layout - Rating: Poor
- I'll start with the graphics, definitely with the major graphics first, ok, describing the banner, I think this banner looks a bit unique for a 'Naruto Forum' and a bit weird too since I see more of Cyan colors on the banner which I less see on 'Naruto Forums', other than that, the colors are fine overall although try to put a little more grayish color on your banner to partner it with the forum's color scheme, one thing I noticed a mistake there is the text 'Naruto Revo', shouldn't it say 'Naruto Revolution'?, that doesn't look professional so try to fix that up, the navigation bars are fine, it looks good at the forum's color scheme, nothing wrong there, now, the forum icons(new post, no new post & forum is locked icons) are nice too, they relate to what the forum is although they may look a little bit big for some guests like me, though, it looks nice still, the 'who is online?' icon seems to be big, try to cut off it's height a little bit and it'll look better I guess.
Ok, now, for the content & organization of the categories & forums, I guess the forums you have there on the index are fine, they fit to the forum perfectly, for the appearance of the categories & forums, I spotted a mistake here, one thing is some forums have descriptions while some have none which definitely looks unprofessional for most of us, try to add descriptions on forums that doesn't have, also, it doesn't look good to see categories with only 1 forum on it, why not just connect it with another category? I guess it will look better, though the organization overall is fine, their fine.
Ok, now, describing the forum's color scheme/theme, gray color looks a little bit boring on forums, try other themes too like yellow and black would work for a 'Naruto' forum.
Forum Activity - Rating: Good
- From the index view, you can really see that the forum is not active since most of the forums have no new posts, I only saw 2 forums with new posts being made 'Yesterday', there seems to be a lot of members online while I'm reviewing the forum but there are less posts made on the forum, so that doesn't look good either, ok, summing up, what I guess is you just hide some of the forums for guests so I can't see all of them, so i can't give an accurate review here, I'll just base it on the total amount of posts, 10,459 messages is considered alot, so that's a nice achievement, try to post more to get a next milestone, for the users activity, it's great! There are lots of members being logged in the last 48 hours and there are several members being online while I'm reviewing the forum as I'd mentioned, good job, keep it up.
Staff & Usergroups - Rating: Poor
- Describing the groups you have, I see there's lots of them and I think all of them are fine for your forum's subject which is about 'Naruto', although try to place the staff groups at the first positions so it'll look professional, the 'Global Moderators' should be placed after the 'Administrators' group and then followed by the 'moderators' group, you should fix the groups generally. Ok, let's go ahead straightly to the amount of staffs, starting with the amount of admins, I see there's alot of them, there are seven admins which definitely looks too many/too much, this amount is not really needed since the forum is not too much overpopulated, like having 1000 plus members, try reducing up to 4 only, there are G-mods and mods to help so this amount seriously looks unprofessional for me, there are 4 global moderators, I think that's fine, the other moderators that are on trial are fine too, make sure that the number of admins and G-mods are not that too much otherwise it'll look that the forum has too much staff.
Originality & Unique Quality - Rating: Average
- The forum's name 'Naruto Evolution' is not new to me, it's common on 'Naruto forums, a more unique name would attract more users to the forum, also, as I'd mentioned above, you have this nice and unique banner which has Cyan colors, which looks quite unique for me, also, some group names may look unique for me, but some are common on 'Naruto' forums.
