I'm talking about both phpbb2 & phpbb3 forums here....

Can we something like when you add a huge image which width larger than the width of post content, it automatically gets resized to the width of the forum instead of having something like this

You beat me to it. I was wishing for the same thing this morning, as I am now having members post fan art. Even though I wrote out the size limits, it's not being adhered to, and I don't really wish to delete every image that is posted. I think this is a great idea. I vote yes!

I have been to forums where the picture were twice as wide here and there in a long thread, do not like it.

I voted no....... Because what if you want a Big Images , and you don't want it to be small , so what can you do to make it bigger again? If you make it bigger again , the auto images resize will resize back to small one again. So I votes no.

I have not found one Forumotion forum that has not got this problem. A auto image resizer would be a helpful addition!

Most auto image resizers will increase the image size when pressed on, or open it in a new window at full size.

A solution to this problem was recently posted
place this CSS code in your CSS script to effect
an auto resize of photo's

Code:: postbody img{ max-width:600px; border:0px; width: expression(this.width > 600 ? 600: true);} place in css and adjust the 600px to whatever size wanted

The posts that followed this suggestion as I recall said it did
remember to replace the 600 number where ever it appears to the size you want
