Dark eFfectX

Like always, I'll start from the background. The background color is something between dark blue and purple, eye-pleasant and elegant. The background kind of goes through whole forum so well chosen color is primary thing. Anyway, as for baner, it's abstract so I can't understand what does it represent, but it's cool. Maybe little bit lower of quality (stretched). Navigation is quite interesting. But it looks a little bit dull, and the font looks simple and quite vague, maybe you can change it to a better font to make it look better. Gloss is very fine and hover effect is nice adapted to whole forum's coloring. The rest of the forum is kind of like floating.. I don't know, maybe it's just my taste, but I don't like seeing the categories without being inside whole forum's 'box'... It's a bit odd to me. But if it's your style, go for it, you can make it more elegant if you put some CSS3 box shadow to your categories or some outer glow. The gloss behing category names is well designed. Forum icons are quite simple, yet effective and giving some abstract and mystic look to my first impressions. The icons in sections are not very well chosen for this forum. It looks like they're from some other skin. You should try making some new which will adapt well to your current skin, like the New Msg and Reply buttons, that style, or quote and other message icons style. All in all, you should work on your header quality, new icons and using some new CSS techniques for making your forum look better and refreshed. My rating is Average, don't get me wrong, I just to motivate you a bit to work more
