Show/not show banned users post content

Hello.

Wouldnt be a really nice thing that when we ban someone we could choose if we want that his posts will be shown or not?

Im gonna explain why this would be very useful:

Imagine this situation:

You have a forum and you ban someone, and that person creates another account into your forum and start spamming the whole forum...

The ideal thing would be that we could delete all users posts with just a click (this can be done in pure PHPBBs), but, nowadays, Forumotion doesnt have that option...

So, the other option to prevent a spam attack would be the thing I am suggesting here: have an option where we could choose if that banned user posts will be shown or not.

If we choose 'no', when a banned user post appear, it would say something like "The content of this post is not shown because his author is actually banned"

But we can also have other situation, imagine it: we have a good member, but, for certain reason, he gets angry and start having a bad behaviour, so you have to ban him...

It is possible that we dont want to hide is posts (because there are good ones, only the last post are bad, so we just delete that four or five bad posts, for example), so, in this case, we would have to choose 'no' in the "hide user posts" option.

Do you like the idea?

Yes, but imagine you have to delete 100 post, one per one (I am talking about bad post, I mean, using bad words for example, or insulting members etc, because this imaginary member is angry because you have banned him)

If a person has 100 bad posts, they should have been banned a lot earlier.

You didnt undestood me...

Imagine that you are on holidays, and your Staff too, and a person register in your forum and start posting porn and things like that in your forum, without stop...

Later you would have to delete all post, one by one, and the post content (porn or wathever), would be seen by the rest of users...

it is useful for big and active forum, and not much use for small forums, but all of us want our forum to be big, so I voted yes.

I change my mind, not just think this is usefull, but now I think I do need this facilities (option to hide / delete all messages of a member),
Our forum has almost 40,000 members and almost 700,000 messages and still active / growing up but we only have too few moderators.
We need it for:
- For spammers those we late to know and already have hundreds of messages/postings (we lack the amount of moderators who control so we are late to know often).
- For the old members who request to us to delete all of his messages/postings, and already has hundreds of postings (this is real happened many times) and make us so tire.

Thanks.

I think this is a great idea and would love it for my own forums.
I voted yes. Having to deal with someone elses thoughtless mistakes...
Just grinds my gears at the thought of having to go through them all, post by post.
