Hi all,
I believe for our security, we should have a mandatory password reset, say, only once a year or however long, that's not up to me.
I've personally only changed my password once over the 4 years I've been here
If Forumotion says they have the maximum security, why are they lacking on such a vital tool which ensures a users security?
Whats your opinion?

I have voted no.
Many users might use a single password. If they are asked to change the password everytime, It can cause more problems related to forgotten passwords.

Well, this option is already avaible on pure PHPBB boards...
But this have a positive side and a negative side...
Positive: some users doesnt have secure passwords, they have very easy to guess passwords, so, with this type of users, it would help to have at least a minimum security...
Negative side: if the changing period is too short, maybe users would get in trouble, because if they have to change very often his password, he will not remember wich is the actual one...
So, I will not vote, but I think this shouldnt be obligatory, just optional...
But every user have to be aware of risk they have if the password is too easy...
