Sports R Us

First Impressions - Rating: Average

When I first came to your forum, I was a bit disappointed. Your forum looked to ordinary, and it didn't seem to have anything that stood out. I like your background, but the forum doesn't feel like it's about sports. I believe that your forum needs some extra entertainments (sports related), and something that will really let your forum stand out. Your forum's portal doesn't even exist, and I think that your portal would be the perfect place to put your new entertainment. Your entertainment could be about sports headlines, scores on various different sports around the world, a world clock, and maybe you could even add a few contests in which a winner gets a nice trophy related to sports.

To summarize my first impressions, you need to work on matching your forum to it's theme.

Graphics & Layout - Rating: Poor

Your forum needs professional graphics to match your forum's theme. If you go to any official sports website, you will notice that everything is professional, even their graphics. Your banner looks like it was done so quickly that the designer didn't even add gloss, or gradients, or anything that would make your forum look its best. I recommend that you find someone with a great artistic view to create your forum's banner to match you forum's theme. The banner is like the highlight of your forum since it's all the way at the top. It's what represents your forum, so that should be your best graphic out there.

Your navigation bar of choice looks to simple as well. I also think that the text is much too small, and a much better one could be created. I suggest having one with a much longer bar, and with different sporting tools coming out of them; baseballs, soccer balls, foot balls, basketballs, and much more.

Your forum icons could use some work as well. Your forum icons are the one's that indicate a new topic has been created, or an old topic. I suggest instead of the defaults, that you create one that is yet again, sports related. Everything has to revolve around your forum's main theme.

As for your layout, I think it's very good, but all you need to do is organize which category should go on top of the other. The categories that are off-topic should go towards the bottom, and the one's that are based on the forum should be on top.

Forum Activity - Rating: Good

Your forum is really blooming with activity. I would like to congratulate you on this milestone because in almost every forum, I see topics that have been posted in today, or even yesterday. I just suggest that you create some more forum-based contests that will bring back the rest of your 103 members. But overall, your forum is greatly active, and your forum exceeds in this reviewing area.

Staff & Usergroups - Rating: Good

Your forum has a perfect set amount of Staff & Usergroups, and I believe that you should add nothing more until your forum gets more members. With the amount of administrators thta your forum has, I believe that you are doing just fine. I also like how your forum only has three usergroups. This is the perfect amount for your forum's theme, and I would suggest that you keep it that way.

Originality & Unique Quality - Rating: Average

Your forum isn't that unique based on it's graphics and entertainments, but what makes it unique would be your members, their activity, and by it's quality. Your forum isn't fake, it's definitely real, but to make it expensive, you would have to work on it's graphics, and it's entertainment.

To conclude this review, I would like to say that your forum was very nice, it had it's flaws, but I'm sure with the help of your members, they can be patched. Good luck, and remember to work on your forum daily. Wink
