Domain Name has Run out - Founder absent

Hey guys,

I started a topic but in the wrong section about this, i still received replies which i am grateful for, but unfortunately they didn't take me anywhere.

At this point in time our domain name, www.headshotetclan.com has expired i think, we still have use of it, but there are now advertisements.

We have more than enough credits to renew it, but our founder is absent and will be for another year or more, we do not have his password and since we tried to log into his account to renew the domain name, for some reason on his statistics it says he has logged in, rendering us unable to prove the 6 month inactivity time you require normally. Although it should be quite clear from his lack of posts since November last year that he is indeed away.

Anyway, we just need to get the domain name renewed, as i said, should be heaps of credits in our account to do so, we don't need the founders account for anything else, so even if you can just go in there, use the credits you need to to renew our domain and not transfer ownership of the forum over at all that would be acceptable for us.

Let me knew what my next course of action should be, speedy reply would be much appreciated, although its my fault for leaving it this late Smile

Its hasn't run out. I click on the link and it sent my right to it. And it works.

Hmm well i know it is supposed to run out around this time, and we have suddenly got ads above our forum that we never used to have.

In any case, we do need to renew it so it does not change the fact that our problem is still current.

We have credits to renew the domain name but no founder to use them.

Edit: Our domain has now expired, we really need the site, and we have the money there to pay, can we please get this sorted.

Sorry to bump again but this is becoming a very urgent matter indeed, we rely on our forum as the source of our donations to run numerous servers both game and voice, and not only that but as the main source and referral place for members and guests in terms of rules, ban appeals and even just as a knowledge base for general reading as well as troubleshooting.

It is imperative we get this solved.

Im going to bump this AGAIN, we still have heard no reply, despite bumping it once and also sending a PM.

It is really killing our traffic having this site down, can somebody please look at this and inform me what we need to do, as i continue to say, the money is there! We just need to give it to you guys..

If someone has logged into the admin's account, nothing can be done about it i am afraid.

Someone tried, didn't actually get in. He is clearly inactive, if you check his last post date it is well over 6 months ago. There must be something that can be done. If you need us to provide personal details of any kind we know him quite well and would most likely be able to give you them.. We don't even need the forum to be changed over to me or anybody else, it can remain in his name, we just need some of the credits that we have put in there to be used to renew the domain name. I really don't see the problem at all.

Hi to all at Forumotion. Firstly I'm an admin at the www.headshotetclan.com forums and the forums domain name has ran out! We can't alter the domain name because only the Founder of the forums spend credits alter domain names etc.... Stranger is right about our founder, UnHoly. He has been away for just over a year now with another year to go. He left and forgot to hand the forums over to one of our high admins when he left.

Even we cannot get in touch with UnHoly at the moment. If Forumotions need his details we have this information and you can try to contact him yourself if you guys want?

I don't see what the hold up is with this?? We have a forums with almost 500 members that rely on our forums for information about the game that we play on the net. Only one person has replied to this post...

Now why has he not posted back??? Because the forum domain ran out that night on the 29th.

Hope that this gets resolved soon otherwise we will have to use another forums provider to support our needs and our customers needs.

Thank you Sanket. However as previously stated, due to the fact somebody has tried to access the founders account, even though they failed, it still has a last accessed date which is fairly recent (the date they tried to access it). However if you were able to accept his last post date, you will see he has been absent for well over the 6 months required absent time, in fact we may even be able to show you the topic in which he stated he was leaving for 2 years, if we can find it.

Please let me know if this is satisfactory.

don't worry, because of your forum activity the renewal of your domain is offered for the next year. So, i'll look to recover it, renew and return it on the forum because it has expired for more than 11 days now ... but it's not too late. it will be done and working by tomorrow evening :wouhou:

I hope that that wasn't you that I just banned?? I noticed the our owner, that is absent, logged into the forums. I checked the IP to make sure it was from Australia but it wasn't it was from the Netherlands. So I IP banned it.

Please reply to this post if it was you that logged in and I will unban the IP from our forums.

Stranger if you don't have enough credits to renew the Domain just tell me I will add more credits to the forums. Smile

Also GodFather will the forums have the ownership transferred over to Stranger to?? If it's not it would be a bit of a waste of time seeing that we would like to update etc.... Our forums if need be for the future....

Would be great to know any of this information to.

Thanks a lot for this!! It is great to be able to get our guests back to our forums and get some traffic flowing again.

While we are here though, one thing that is bugging us is the ads that have appeared above and around our forums. They were never there before. I believe we have the credits in the forum to remove these ads. We were wondering whether our request to get the founder transferred to me could still be processed as our founder will still be away a further year and we would like to remove the ads.

Why is this marked as Solved??? We still don't have control of the forums.... We can't use any credits or remove these, sometimes, offensive ads that have popped up on our forums!! Why just slap a solved on this when it's not?

Our forums has users ages ranging from 13 to over 50+. We have had complaints about some of the ad's that have appeared on our forums and also as a result players or forum members are, if these ad's keep on display, going to leave our forums. If this happens we will lose a lot of traffic just over some petty ad's!!

Like I said we can't change this until we have control, or Founder control, of our forums. We have already said that we have our founders information if you want it. I know that your admins are busy with all the problems that your faced with every day on your forums but what would you do if ad's were placed all over your forums with misleading information or just down right rude ad's???

Still no answer on this issue?? Once again this problem is not solved at all. More and more of these ridiculous ad's are popping up on our forums! We want them gone! I know that one thing is for sure with all this.... I'm not spending any more money for a feature that we can't use.

I know that you guys are busy but it's been 10 days since my last post with no answer because someone has slapped a big Solved on this when it's far from over.
