How to make a quick link

I want to make a quick link widget to my forums, so say i post an upcoming event in the quick link widget, when someone clicks on it, it will take them to the forum and topic... how would i do this? and can i write any text i want in the quick link and it will still take them to the same page

Are talking about one of those "Click here" links?

If so, you want to find out the exact link first and then put it where I say LINK HERE in the code.

Code:: <a href='http://help.forumotion.com//f80-scripts-problems-archives/LINK HERE'>TEXT HERE</a>

Remember to have the qoute marks! Then put it in a personalized widget and done! And you can also put pictures where it says "TEXT HERE".
