How do u make picture "transparent"?

I have many pictures on my message board - and the pictures all have a white background on them - how can you make this background - disappear?

I would like the images to appear without the white background.... is there a way we can make the background transparent so you only see the picture?

I ty in advance for helping me with this request,,,

For an image to have a transparent background it must be saved as a .png file, not a .jpg. If you have the original version of these saved on your computer, just upload them as .pngs, if not then you can make a request here.

appreaciate your help justiun - i have these images are not saved on my computer - so i guess i will have to request for help at the link you provided... ty for your help...
