"Duplicate", how does it work?

What does this function do?

It basiclly duplicates your portal. Try it and you'll see.

I did, but nothing really happened, except that the Portal was missing one column..

1. You can use one as your default page while you work on the other.
2. You can make to and link one in a nev navigation through a customized menu.

So actually I can use one to make my tests in, while the other one is shown in my forum...
And I can also use it as a second portal but going through a link.... did I get it right?
