How to edit Badges?

I don't know why but I can't find much info on it. Somebody said to change your CSS code to the navigation of the picture so it will replace the default badges, but I can't find it. I want to add some badges from the graphic section e.g. Administrator & Moderator. Can any one give me a good in-depth tutorial on this please?
