Forum is locked

Hi There

I have a new forum i have created in the last few weeks, but i cant seem to unlock it to allow new members.
Is it possible that the forum is automatically locked and it is a default? This is my second one now i have created and cant get anyone to access either. It is very frustrating. I have already tried to go into the admin panel as Mr Mario described in another topic and make sure the settings were as he described, however they were and it is still locked.

Is there anyway of getting someone to try to log in and test it - it wont allow me to, even though i logged in from my friends computer. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply.
I dont get an error message which in reading the posts about others having the same problem is quite strange.
I am quite confused as to why it appears locked after changing the settings.
Could it be something else??

Try going to AP > Display > Headers and navigation > Display only images in the navbar : > No

Sanket - Locked in terms of the actual forum appears locked on the home page., even though it shouldnt be.
Slg- i dont know. i cant seem to log in as a user.

Unless you are talking about the legend that has the icon for forum locked. That just a guide to tell users that that what is mean if it locked. Your forums aren't locked. Everything is fine.
