Is it possible to put a global announcement on the homepage?

Nopes. You can add the announcement in
Display>generalities

This global announcement, i am very surprised it has not already been inplememted.
And to be quite honest I hate the announcements scroller.
If you put a PHPBB3 forum on your own host you will see it has this global announcement, but I dont like the
Currently, you can only have the announcement on: Homepage, Portal or all pages.
People complain of lag if it is on all pages.
People on portal will not see homepage announcement and vice versa.
Wouldn't it be better to have only a homepage and portal
Can't seem to find the option anywhere, help would be appreciated.
