Because, i don't can see that idea with this
You have already a URL, so why have one more ?
If you want have another URL to your forum, you can use beam.to ?

Forumotion = Forum

Think this is the right topic or it can fit there,
We want to buy some points (3000 we think) for to use our custom url (like www.ourboardname.com).
If we change our url to new one,
a)Will members can still use the adress with xxx.forumotion.com?
b)How will our url structure will change? i mean for example we have a forum called suggestions and if we click this forum, will it's url change like this:
www.ourboardname.com/suggestions
or only stayed as frame like www.ourboardname.com in each forums or topic?
Hope someone help us this time friends.

Well first of all this isn't in the right topic since this is the suggestion topic.
And to answer your questions:
a)Your members won't be automatically redirected to your new address that is why it is very good to send a e-mail to all the members of your forum using the newsletter feature.
b)If for example you add a gallery to your forum your url should be : www.name of the forum.com/gallery so it won't have the same name for all your pages.

As i understand members can't use the old adress directly so i have to warn all of them with newsletter feature.
