Hello, all! I'm trying to put a background on a post, but can't get the picture to size large enough to be a background. If you'll look at the screen shots below, you'll see what I'm talking about.
Now, I've made it to where no pictures are re-sized in the AP,
and I'm using this code (picked up from a similar question here, I'm sorry I don't remember where it is)
Can you please tell me how to fix this problem?
Thanks so much!
EDIT: Wonderful brilliant me figured out that if I space out the text, the background image grows. My problem now is that the image only grows in height, not width, meaning I can't get the rest of the picture to show (see below, and hopefully the screen shot will explain better than I). What I'd like to be able to do is fix the background image so I can freely move the text content around without the width of the picture being dependent on it?

Hi Truth, like this?
- Code:
[table width="100%" style="padding-left:25px; color:white; padding-right:5px; background-image:url('http://users.skynet.be/roland/Blue/sea-the-light.jpg');"][tr][td]

Yes! Exactly like that! Nera, you are absolutely the best.
The image is tiling, though. Is there a way to keep it at 100%, but stop it from repeating?

It should be aligned by itself if it's 100% width sice will streach across the whole post. But if you want it smaller and aligned you can do it like this.
As for the picture you can make it not to repeat but you'd need to fix the photo a bit in a PS program and than colorize the background so the picture fits nicely to the table.

Oh, I love that it's at 100% width. The only problem is the tiling.
I used GIMP to make this, and saved it rather large so it would fit, but when I upload to photobucket, it's automatically sized down (even after I try to bump the size up again).
Do you suggest using another photo host to fix this problem?

Here, on FM, Servming http://i.imm.io/8XjK.png ?

(I always forget FM has their own image host.)
Unfortunately, that didn't work. Considering this, I think I'll go with a smaller width. To make things look uniform, is there a way to center the table? (I've tried this before, but haven't found a way to do it.)

How do you mean center it?
Or you mean center the text?
You can upload it to
http://tinypic.com/
http://imageshack.us/
Just be carefull to choose not to resize before you hit the upload button.

I mean centering the table.
I've tried the different image hosts with this, but width at 100% still tiles. So what I'm going to do now is scale the width down to prevent tiling, but I'd like to know how to center the table so it looks uniform instead of shoved off to one side.

The same way I did with the smaller one. You have the code in the green/thanked post, just add this to style
- Code:
margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;
