I have sent you a pm with the links to the porn which is being shown of a Forumotion forum. ooops just noticed I can't send you a pm so how do I send you this information or should I post it here?

It's the traffic exchange feature. Deactivate it.

But the link that I had is displaying porn and its being done on a Forumotion site. I have sorted out my problem now thank you but surely Forumotion shouldn't allow its members to display porn on an open site? The traffic as you put it is from a Site that is hosted by Forumoition.

Well, you can file a litigation if you come across such forums.

Ok I found it in the garbage even though I was told to open another topic as above so I will continue with it here.

I have sorted out my own problem now but this sort of thing should not happen on a forumotion forum ? here are all the links to the offending site




I have tried to report this to litigation but no matter what I do I can not upload the pictures that it asks for, I have tried every link but it wont accept any of them.

If you know they are links leading to porn, why are you posting them here on public board for others to see, Please do not post any such links here in the public for others or even minors to be able to go to and view.

Either report it all to litigation or send a staff members the links.
Do not post them in the open. I have saved the links, and will look around and pass it along to the appropriate staff, Other then that just report it all to formotion litigation and let them handle it.

I have reported these to the staff but nothing has been done as you can see from the links. It doesn't take an age to look and see that its XXXXX Porn and do something about it surely. And lets not forget that these links were sent to my forum via Forumotion and I have children on my forum too so yes I do understand but when will this be stopped??????

If you have deactivated the Traffic Exchange feature on your forum, then your members will not see any links to other forums. It takes time to check all the ligitations that the ligitation team gets.

Don't have trafic exchange on and you will never see any other links from other forums. As far as people posting content that break forumotion TOS, well forumotion or staff here have no control over what someones forum is going to allow or others may post on any giving forum???? It's no different then someone posting porn on facebook or youtube, people have to report it and it will be removed along with any actions the host feel are necessary.In most cases their accounts deleted, and for forumotion forums, Forumotions policy is to just shut the whole forum down, But you cant hold forumotion responsible for what someone else is going to post on any giving forum at any giving time..Forumotion Litigation's can only take action for reports that are received, So if there are forums out there with porn on it that was never reported then they have no way of knowing the content exist on someones forum.

So anyone's forum that is in violation whether it be porn or any other content that breaks TOS has to be reported to forumotion litigation.
Then litigation will deal with the problem and take all necessary actions they see fit for the violations taken place.

Also we suggest people first complain to the forums admin by using the report abuse link in the footer, then if the forums admin dose not do anything about it report to litigation's

But the bottom line is Pornography is not allowed nor will it be tolerated on forumotion forums,However you have to give litigation's time to receive the reports then they will shut it down, they will not give warnings for anything pornographic.

And when will it stop. It will never stop, you will always have people posting things that are in violations not only on forums but any other place on the web, So all you can do is report it. and keep reporting it.

I am going to make a suggestion that forumotion get rid of the trafic exchange.
There are going to be a lot of members against it, because it helps promote others forums.
But it's no good if it's going to show threads of forums that are in violation.

Thank you for your reply Kirk, I do know how it all works but I was just concerned that its taking so long for the staff to do something about it as I reported it on the 7th October and its now the 13th which I would have thought was long enough? but who knows how they work and what they consider to be Porn? maybe they have looked and think its ok ? we will have to wait and see but its interesting that it takes so long for some forums and others are shut down for less in less time.

Well it will all depend on when litigation receives it, and that the complaint was sent properly with the info,screen shots and links to the forum in violation.

See the main problem is, There are way to many people reporting things that are not even real violations, People report everything and anything, I mean you should see some of the ridiculous complaints that we have had here time to time.. So i can just imagine how many non violation and silly reports litigation's gets, And that will slow the process of them getting to the forums that are indeed in real violations, But never the less, if someone has a forum and they are allowing things that are breaking any TOS, it's only a matter of time and they will be shut down. All it takes is one member to get upset about something and they will report it... lol

So OK i guess this is safe to mark and lock now

Yeah i seen it,
But it dont add up, because the whole form is about shoes, and has topic after topic about shoes and shoe fashion,

then you have the one post with the few images of nude model in sexually suggestive posses?
So my guess is that someone might have spammed the board and the staff missed it or something.. To me it just seems out of place with the whole forum and is the only post i seen with adult content? Other then that one post, i dont see any indications of it being a adult site or other adult content presented? it's a shoes forum?? go figure.
That's why it should always be reported to the forums admin first.
Whatever the case it will be in litigation's hands now.
