Moderator Bots

I think it would be a great idea to add a Moderator Bot to well moderate your forums instead of a real person, with a real person you need to look at what they are doing to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do right. With a bot you could select the things you want it to do in the admin panel and it would do it 24-7. I think this would be a great idea for our forums.

I've voted no. I would definitely prefer to have human moderators rather than robot moderators. How will this even work? Smile

Well, there are more bad in this then good. The bad Ideal is that if someone does do something the robot could take it a different way and delete it.

This isn't possible
1) Such bots don't exist
2) Current technology does have "Bots" that have the ability to distinguish communication and language

And so since this is not possible, I voted no

I say other because. A forum bot is great aslong as it haves tons of features that we can use. Like say for instance. "Bot comes across a topic with a ton of swears in it. Forum Bots reads over topic locks it and does some weird stuff that makes that topic invisible to guests,members,and moderators allowing Web-Master and Admins to check out the topic and decide whether or not to delete it." So basically its good because A you dont need to be on daily just to check out EVERY single post. While a bot can do that for you. But I'd still have Human Moderators and Admins ect. But I still say if you can make it work to do what I said then Do this, make a bot for forums.

I voted no for two reasons:

1) I don't believe this feature is even possible, technologically speaking.
2) Even if this feature were available, there is no way I could ever trust a bot to moderate as well as a human. I want the best that I can have, so I'll take mine fleshy.
