Graphics & Layout - Rating: Good+

When I opened your board, the first two words to come to my mind were simple and organized. The colors are near perfection and the setup is excellent for reading. Excellent Javascript and CSS use throughout add interesting and useful features to your board. I love the post count numbers in the topics and your clever use of coding. Nice work here!

Your navbar looks great even without pictures and as I take a closer look into your board and pages, I see a good professional quality of your board.

Now onto graphics. I realize your board's subject is mainly coding, so graphics are not as essential to your board's success in attracting members. However, I do believe that great graphics contribute highly to a board's look, but as you have requested, I will leave them out and they will not be part of the review Wink

Graphics duly noted, I would like to say that your board should have some sort of logo that defines your site. A logo will give recognition to your board, while also underscoring its professionalism and adding a nice touch to the whole effect. Give users something that defines and shows what your board is all about. Not only will it show and a convey feelings of your site, it also gives you and your users a little something to be proud of and glad to be part of your community.

Overall, your site is wonderfully designed and definitely looks high quality. I did not mark an Excellent, because as good as your design is now, it feels not quite complete. However, the work you have already done is fabulous and I will look forward to new updates on your site. A superlative work in progress Wink

thanks a bunch for the review emp! I'm actually trying to think of what I can do for a new logo - lol... just haven't found something that "works".

Try thinking of something related to your forum or something that gives a certain idea of what your forum is capable of. You could also think of something that might even relate to your color setup (remember LH Justin and his leaf symbol + his forum colors).

A few quick ideas off the top of my head
- a cloud
- fire
- circles
- wrench+paintbrush graphic
- (etc.)

It doesn't even have to be an actual object. Sometimes, it could even be abstract. You could even get some ideas by looking at corporate logos or brands.
And don't forget you can always change and experiment with different logos! Razz
