Sorry spoke too soon. I am trying to disable "Who Is Online" and "Google Maps" for guests only. Changed the Statistics setting to admins only in the acp and doesn't seem to be working. I logged out and can still view.

Display the GoogleMap in "Who is online?" : No
Save.
You can either display it or not.
I think you changed it to guests for the statistics to be seen.

Does that mean it's either displayed for all or nobody? No way to make it viewable by admins only?

Found a way around it. Simply remove Stats box via "page layout" settings, enable google maps and you can view via the ACP with no public link on the index.
