which should i be using pivot 2 or the beta pivot 3??

i started pivot 2.25 but then i hear all this talk about ver 3, i want to know if there is a final version pivot 3 instead of beta and one other thing some animations seem to have flash effects, i need some help i need a coach thats what i need!! :affraid:
