Obscure Scottish Football Question

Some blethering cunt in the pub asked the question, “Which team was the first local fully professional football club?” The answer, according to him was ‘Bonnybridge Grasshoppers’, which I’m sure, cannot be correct. Bonnybridge Grasshoppers might be the first football club established locally, although Bonnybridge Star were formed the same year (1875).
