Troon, described by Tam Cowan as having bifocal shop windows, really did have nearly fuck all in the way of attractions. We were the only customers in one of the pubs, The Coach House (early evening for over an hour) and some of the other pubs were near dead.
Two good eating places though: Scotts and Li
