Fun in Funchal, Mad in madeira
Just back from Madeira, lucky to get out as I was the youngest man there. These old dears are difficult.
Lots of auld folk, yet very hilly: better than most sunny holiday places but a tiny bit dearer. Lots to see and do. Two top league clubs play on the island (Maritimo and Nacional) and lots of cash being spent on the grounds, although crowds are really low.
Levadas and black scabbard fish: anyone been?![]()
