Just a little freeverse I threw together. Enjoy.

Efforts rewarded with meaningless trinkets, mere plastic in the innermost realm.
Almost
Defy the gods that control the very fiber of our being.
Inclination.
Don't give in, don't give up, don't go down.
However you choose to starve, it's still death.
Feeding yourself with images, mere

It's not great, but it was fun to write. The point was for the majority of the poem to hold myself to a rather strict rhyme scheme/cadence. This poem is dedicated to those girls.

Grandma's in bed with a sick headache.
Cold cloths
in a dark room.
Trying to find relief.

my son has to read a poem at school, its only short and humorous and was wondering if anyone has any tips on reading peotry. will try and post it on here if anyone wants to read it to see when to pause or whatever?!
Add two lines (or more if you feel so inclined) to the poem!
