Missing RAID driver/BSOD

I think I may have removed something that I should not have. Not sure how it happened.....

I've been getting the blue screen for a while now on my desktop. Today, I got it with the Microsoft message stating that my RAID driver is missing. It gave me directions on how to go to the website and download it. I tried that, and after trying to install, my computer stated that my system doesn't meet the requirements. Does anyone have information on storage set up? We are brand new to DW/BI on SQL Server 2008. We are a mainframe shop with source data in DB2 Z/OS. We have read many conflicting articles on storage and whether to use RAID 1 or RAID 5 on local or SAN.
