An Ode to Evan
A poem I wrote for school.
Evan, a name in which you hate to hear.
A name that never sounds quite clear.
I do not know why my parents name me it to this date.
But it’s a name I sometimes seem to hate.
Robert, a perfect middle in a sandwich of names.
For this reason I have nobody to blame.
When people say it I feel like a business man.
I’d rather have it than a name like “Dan”
