Android 2.1 Android Compatibility Definition Document

The new CDD for Android 2.1 now changes the clause where Google-approved devices must have phone telephony hardware (and matching APIs.)

However, scanning the document, sanctioned devices still need the following hardware:

  • Camera (2 megapixels or higher)
  • Touch Screen (Resistive or capacitive)
