Writing to 0x0b and 0x0c registers of wm8991 does not take effect

Hello,

In the latest kernel, while tracking which function sets the volume level, I have tried to forcefully write 0x00 or 0xff on the DAC volume registers 0x0b and 0x0c, but there seems to be no effect on the volume adjustment in the Settings->Sound. Are these the registers that control the actual sound output?

Regards
