Wärtsilä, Turboden Sign Agreement To Develop Marine Engine Combined Cycle Product

Wärtsilä has signed an agreement with Turboden of Italy to jointly develop, market and distribute a marine engine combined cycle (ECC) product based on organic rankine cycle (ORC) technology.

The joint development work will focus initially on applying the ORC technology for ship applications, with the Wärtsilä marine ECC product expected to enter the market in 2011.
